Product Details

A nice example of an antique sterling silver butter dish with its original blue glass liner. It is a round shape with a beautiful pierced design and two flat stylised handles. It stands on four small fleur-de-lys shaped feet. It is a stylish and good quality piece by well known maker Mappin and Webb and it is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1924. Without the liner the silver weighs approximately 41g.

It is in excellent condition with clear hallmarks. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There is a small dent above one foot and some faint surface marks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
