A fine example of an antique Bachelor's tea set consisting of a tea pot, milk jug and sugar bowl. They are a small size, designed for Tea for One. It is a stylish set with an elegant shape, ribbed detail to the base and ebonised handles on the teapot.
It is excellent quality with a combined weight of 417g with the handles. It is fully hallmarked for J Sherwood & Sons, Birmingham. The tea pot is dated 1915 and the milk and sugar are dated 1920. The marks are slightly rubbed but still distinguishable.
The whole set is in very good condition. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and some dinks but nothing untoward and the set displays very well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
