Product Details

A fine example of an antique Sterling Silver vesta case. It has an enamel plaque of a dog in the centre that looks like a scruffy Labrador. It has a hinged lid and a ribbed base for striking.

It is clearly hallmarked for Henry Matthews, Birmingham, 1918.

It is good quality and well made, measuring approximately 1 1/2" (4cm) wide and high.
It is in good condition with a clear hallmark. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are signs of age and use, some faint surface marks, light scratches and a few small dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
