A good example of an antique tea strainer with a solid sterling silver pierced bowl and turned ebonised handle. It is a good quality piece with a beaded border and delicately turned finial.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1927 and the makers Mappin & Webb.
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well . There are some faint surface marks, small dinks and one pin is missing from the base of the handle but it is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
