A good example of an Edwardian solid silver sugar basket. The basket itself is beautifully shaped with a swing handle and it stands on an oval foot. It is excellent quality and weighs approximately 141g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1906 and the maker William Aitken.
It is in good condition for its age. There are a few minor surface marks, light scratches and dinks but no major damages and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
