A good example of a small Sterling Silver sauce boat / cream jug. It is an elegant design with ornate repousse decoration, a large curved pouring spout and a scrolling handle. It stands on three hoofed feet. The jug is stylish and good quality and it weighs approximately 109g.
It is hallmarked on the base however the mark is rubbed. The leopard's head for London is clearly visible as is the Lion Passant however the date letter and makers mark are not readable. It is likely it dates from the late 19th Century.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
