A fine example of a large solid silver salver dish with Chippendale style wavy rim, shell motifs and two handles. It has a small engraved armorial crest with Latin motto "Fide Et Constantia". It is a stylish and good quality piece weighing approximately 697g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Sheffield, 1908 and the maker Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall.
It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are some faint surface marks and light surface scratches and some small dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
