An unusual snuff box in the form of a polished mussel shell in a decorative silver plated mount. It dates from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has a hinged lid with engraving below "J.A.H's Compliments".
It is in good condition. It has signs of age and use and has picked up some small knocks and minor surface marks but the hinge is strong and there are no major damages. The plating has worn and tarnished in places but overall it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
