A lovely antique pin cushion in the form of a wheel with a cushioned velvet edge. The wheel is in a mount which allows it to turn and it hangs on a silver chain which would have most likely attached to a lady's chatelaine. It is excellent quality and is finely engraved with a pretty geometric pattern.
It is likely to date from the mid to late 19th century. There are no silver hallmarks but it has been tested as silver.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and no damages. It has been cleaned and gently polished and overall it displays very well.
