A good example of a solid silver oval dressing table box. It is a good quality piece with a decorative border and engine turned engraving on the top and a gilt lined interior. It weighs approximately 113g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1913 and the maker Deakin & Francis.
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. The hinge is in good order and the gilt interior is bright. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
