Product Details

A good example of an antique desktop blotter pad with silver mounted corners. The pad itself is leather backed with the blotting paper being put in at the front and tucked under the corners. One corner is engraved with an armorial crest in the form of a mythical horned beast.

The silver corners are clearly hallmarked for Stokes & Ireland Ltd, Chester, 1921.

It is in good condition for its age. It has been well used and there is some wear and minor losses to the leather including one repair. The edges are a bit frayed and there are a few small marks and dinks on the silver corners but nothing detrimental. It does come with a piece of blotting paper which has been used (one side more than the other). It probably still has some use left in it but replacement blotting paper is easy to source. There are no major damages and overall it displays very well with a nice aged patina. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
