A good example of an antique solid sterling silver Cigarette Box with a wood lined interior. It is a good quality piece and is clearly hallmarked for London, 1914 and the maker William Comyns & Sons. The top is engraved with a presentation message dated 1915.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It has picked up some small knocks and minor surface marks and there are a couple of small dinks on the back corner (see photos) but no major damages. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
