A good example of an antique silver capstan style inkwell complete with a liner. It is a stylish and good quality piece with a large round base and hinged lid decorated with lined borders.
It is clearly hallmarked for Chester, 1909, Deakin & Sons.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are no major damages, just some faint surface marks, a few light scratches and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
