A large industrial factory bin dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It has its original paper labels for "Thomas Cobbet & Son Provisioners. Ships Merchant". The bin was likely used for storing scraps of fabric or rope or for moving supplies around. It has a metal rim around the base and would have been lined at some point.
It is in good condition and displays well. There are plenty of signs of age and use, some dents and scuffs and small losses to the paper labels but overall it has a good patina and displays well.
