A good example of an antique Sterling Silver milk jug or gravy boat. It is a stylish piece with an elegant curved handle and three feet. It has a Scottish influenced design with a Celtic style border and dragons heads on the feet and handle. It is a good quality piece, weighing approximately 155g.
It is clearly hallmarked for A&G Cairncross Ltd, Birmingham, 1939. It is also stamped underneath "Cairncross. Perth".
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and some minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
