A beautiful antique writing slope made of the finest rosewood with an inlaid mother of pearl border and matching escutcheon and cartouche.The sloped front folds down to reveal a deep red leather writing surface with gilt tooled edging. The top section lifts up to reveal two pen trays and two small lidded compartments.
The box is excellent quality and
in very good condition for its age. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and it displays very well inside and out. There are some minor signs of age and use but no major damages.
