A nice example of an English 19th Century dry card pocket compass in it's original wooden case. The compass has a traditional black and white face with blue compass needle and a button for steadying it. The compass is covered in glass with a nice quality brass rim.
The hinged wooden case is in nice condition with a metal closing latch.
It appears to be in working order but is really being sold as a decorative / collectors item rather than an accurate scientific item.
Approximate Measurements :
Diameter of Compass Face : 2 1/2" (6cm)
Box : 3" (8cm) square x 3/4" (2cm) high
