A lovely pitch pine pew, salvaged from a local North Devon church. It is an unusual Gothic style with x-frame ends leading into curving sides and a straight back support. The seat is solid pitch pine and the bench ends stand on sleigh feet. The unusual design means that you can slide onto the bench from the ends - making it perfect for use at a table or a narrow hallway.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy with a nice colour and patina. There are some signs of age and use and some faint old graffiti scratchings on the rear of the back support but no major damages or anything detrimental and it displays well.
