A lovely antique pine sideboard dating from the early 20th Century. There are 4 central drawers, each with turned wooden knobs, flanked by cupboard doors that open to a shelved interior. Above this is a pull-out bread board. It stands on a simple plinth base and comes with working keys for both cupboards. The drawers open smoothly and the drawers and cupboards are both generally clean and tidy inside.
It is in good condition and the pine has a nice warm colour. It has been cleaned and given a smooth waxed finish, retaining its lovely aged patina. There are signs of age and use, some marks and knocks here and there but nothing untoward or detrimental. It has suffered from worm at some point in its life and this is evident mainly in the backboards and the floor but it has all been treated as a precaution. It displays very nicely and is ready for use.
