A lovely small pine desk dating from the late 19th century. It has 9 drawers arranged around a central kneehole, each with a small wooden knob. There is a small gallery across the back of the desk and it stands on turned bun feet.
The desk is in good condition for its age and has been well looked after. It has a lovely warm patina and the pine has mellowed to a pleasant colour over time. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are some marks and old stains on the top but nothing untoward for a desk of this age. There is some wear to the bottom of one back foot and a small chip in the back side piece of moulding but nothing detrimental. The desk has been cleaned, gently polished and displays beautifully and is ready for use.
