A good example of a small antique pine dresser dating from the late 19th century. The base contains three drawers above a central arched 'dog kennel' with two cupboards either side. Each drawer has brass swan neck handles and the cupboards have brass escutcheons and come with working keys.
The dresser has its original plate rack with three graduated shelves, each with a raised lip to stand the plates up. The rack is fixed to the base with two screws so can be easily removed for transport.
The dresser is in very good condition throughout and has a nice smooth waxed finish. The drawers open well and it is generally clean and tidy inside. It is not without signs of age and use, some minor marks on the top surface, some small knocks, scuffs and marks around the base but no major damages or anything detrimental. There are some minor signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. The dresser has been given a thorough clean and gentle polish and is ready for use.
