A good antique pine blanket box dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The pine has mellowed to a lovely warm colour and the box has brass carrying handles.
A good size for a coffee table, end of the bed storage or toy trunk.
It is in good condition for its age. It is strong and sturdy and generally clean and tidy inside. There have been some repairs and restoration and the floor has been replaced at some point. There are signs of age and use, some general knocks and marks and some light surface marks on the top but nothing detrimental. There are no major damages and overall it displays well. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
