A lovely example of an early 20th Century oak filing cabinet with 9 internal trays and an attractive tambour front. It is well made and a good quality piece with panelled sides. It has a shaped wooden handle for the front and it comes with its original working key. Each tray has an open front with a small recessed pull on the underneath. The front of some trays are stamped "Leipzig" or "Copenhagen" which might reveal something of its past use.
It is in good condition for its age and is a very usable piece. The tambour front slides smoothly and the trays are clean and tidy and open well. It is not without signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks and a small chip by the base but nothing detrimental and it displays well.
