A lovely oak desk chair dating from the early 20th Century. It is a good comfortable chair and very well made with a thick shaped seat. It has an attractive curving shape and the back is supported by stylised spindles and two scrolling arms with curved supports. It has four splayed legs with metal castors below. The height of the seat is adjustable, the chair swivels on a large bolt and also tilts when you lean back in the chair.
It is in very good condition for its age. It has developed a lovely patina and is structurally very sound. It is not without a few small marks here and there but nothing detrimental. The swivel mechanism is in good strong working order with minimal play for a chair of this age.
It is approximately 33" (84cm) high and the arms are 27" (69cm) wide. The seat is approximately 18" (46cm) high and 19" (49cm) deep
