A charming country oak side table dating from the late 18th / early 19th century. It has a single drawer with brass swan neck handles and stands on square chamfered legs with side stretchers.
It is in good original condition with a nice rich patina. At some point the drawer has had knobs and the holes they've left have been plugged. There are normal signs of age and use, some light knocks and surface marks and old ink stains but nothing detrimental. There is an old shrinkage split between the back plank of wood (see photos) but this hasn't affected the table structurally or aesthetically and it is strong and sturdy. There are some historic woodworm holes which have all been treated as a precaution. Overall it displays very nicely and is a good honest table.
