A lovely antique extending refectory table dating from the early 20th century. The planked top stands on lyre-shaped ends with a large central stretcher. It has two extra leaves which pull out from the ends of the table, expanding it from a 4-seater up to an 8-seater.
It is a very sturdy table and it is in good condition for its age. The oak has mellowed to a nice warm patina. There are signs of age and use and some surface marks but no major damages and overall it displays very well. The leaves are a slightly darker colour than the main table as they haven't been used as much but it isn't detrimental. The joints on the bread-board ends have shrunk slightly over time but it hasn't affected the table structurally or aesthetically.
