A lovely oak desk chair dating from the early 20th Century. It is a good comfortable chair and very well made with a cushioned upholstered seat with a studded border. It has curved arms and straight splats and it stands on nicely shaped legs joined by a double stretcher. It makes a lovely desk chair but would also be a nice library or hall chair.
It is approximately 34" (86cm) high, the arms are 22 1/2" (57cm) wide and the chair is 18" (46cm) deep. The seat is approximately 18" (46cm) high.
It is in very good condition for its age. It has developed a lovely aged patina with a rich colour and is structurally very sound. There are signs of age and use and it is not without a few small marks here and there but nothing detrimental or untoward. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
