A good quality solid oak cupboard dating from the 19th Century. It has two panelled doors and stands on a simple plinth base. It has a shelved interior with four wooden shelves set into recesses and it comes with a working key. The heavy duty brass hardware and carrying handles suggest that it could have been made for use on a ship.
It is in good original condition with a wonderful rich patina. There are some signs of age and use, some light marks and knocks but no major damages and overall it displays very well. The interior is clean and tidy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
