A good oak chest of drawers dating from the 19th Century. They have two short over three long drawers and are made of solid oak with lovely mahogany crossbanding around the edge of the drawers and the top. They stand on bracket feet and have brass swan neck handles. The drawers open smoothly, having had the runners recently repaired, and are clean and tidy inside.
They are in good condition for their age. They have developed a lovely warm patina and are strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and they have picked up some small knocks, and marks but nothing detrimental. One rear foot has been replaced at some point in its life but is a good match to the original and overall they display well. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
