An attractive folding butler's table dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. The stand has X-frame legs and the oak tray has raised sides and two carrying handles. It is excellent quality and has unusual hinged wooden supports for the tray, rather than the usual fabric webbing. It is stamped with the maker's name "H.Dancey" on the underside of the tray.
It is in excellent original condition and the oak has developed a nice rich patina. There are signs of age and use, some wear and light knocks on the legs and a few surface marks but nothing untoward or detrimental and it displays very nicely. It is strong and sturdy and has been cleaned and gently polished ready for use.
