A lovely example of a novelty figural lamp in the form of an owl. It dates from the mid to late 19th century and originates from Germany. It would have been made as an oil lamp but has later been converted to an electric table lamp. The owl is well modelled and it is a really fun piece with lots of character.
It has been PAT tested and rewired to modern standards to take a standard bayonet bulb (bulb not included).
It is in good condition for its age with no major damages. There are some signs of age and use, some small surface marks and minor scuffs but nothing detrimental and it displays well.
