A superb miniature chest of drawers, dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is a charming piece with two small over three long drawers, each with turned wooden knobs. It is made from pine which has its original painted grained finish and it stands on a plinth base. It was likely to have been an apprentice piece or a salesman's sample.
It is in good original condition. It has a lovely patina and it is strong and sturdy. The drawers are clean and tidy and all open smoothly. There are some general signs of age and use and minor marks and a small chip on the corner of the base but nothing detrimental and overall it displays very well. There are some signs of historic worm in places which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically.
