A good quality teak box dating from the early 20th century. It would have originally housed a military Range Finder and it has its original brass name plaque. The box has dovetail joints, a brass carrying handle and large brass closing latches. The interior is painted black and has a small shelf section to one corner.
It is in good condition for its age. It is strong and sturdy and generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of age and use, some general knocks and marks but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
