A lovely antique wall clock with traditional roman numeral face, dating from the late 19th century. It has a beautiful mahogany case with a brass mounted glass covered face. It would have originally had a winding spring movement which has now been replaced with a good quality modern quartz and is working well.
It is in good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use, some minor discolouration on the face and a few minor marks on the case but nothing detrimental. There are some old historic woodworm holes in the back of the case which have all been treated as a precaution and haven't affected the clock aesthetically or structurally.
