A lovely mahogany cutlery or housekeepers box dating from the mid 19th century. It is inlaid with pretty oval panels and boxwood stringing. The box has a carrying handle that comes up through the lid which hinges to reveal four lined sections inside. It also comes with its original working key.
It is in good solid order with no major damages. The box has been polished and has a lovely colour and patina. There are some general signs of age and use, some small knocks and minor chips but nothing detrimental.
