A good mahogany duet stool with lift-up lid dating from the early 20th Century. It has scroll-end handles and stands on simple square legs. the seat has been recently re-covered in a good quality fabric and the top lifts up to reveal a useful storage compartment. Although originally made as a duet stool for a piano it would look equally as good in a window bay, hall or at the foot of a bed.
It is in good condition and is strong and sturdy. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light surface marks and small knocks but nothing detrimental and it displays well.
