A beautiful leather armchair dating from the early to mid 19th Century. It is a good comfortable chair with high wing shaped sides and studded detailing. It stands on turned front legs with brass castors and splayed rear legs. It is a good size whilst retaining its attractive regency shape and proportions.
It is in excellent condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. It has been recovered at some point but the leather still has a nice patina and is in good order with no damages or tears. There are some signs of age and use around the legs, some small marks and knocks and a small chip above one castor but nothing detrimental or untoward. There are some minor signs of historic woodworm under the frame which has all been treated as a precaution and doesn't concern us.
