Antique Leather Gladstone Bag
A good example of a beautiful leather Gladstone style bag dating from the early 20th century. The outer of the case is clad in a textured black leather with a carrying handle. Below this is a central brass lock and two locking catches at either end which, when both released, allow the middle catch to open.
The bag opens out to reveal an interior lined in a pale grey leather maroon leather with a couple of side pockets.
The bag is in good condition for its age and displays well. The exterior is in very good order with no major signs of wear and a lovely rich patina. The interior however has suffered some damages to seams and stitching and there are some small holes and marks. The bag does not come with a key but this doesn't stop it being fully closed and the handle being able to be used.
