Product Details

A good antique leather cartridge case dating from the mid to late 19th century with carrying handle, two straps and a good quality brass closing latch. It is divided internally into 4 lined sections with leather straps.

It has its original paper maker's label below the lid for "Ebrall Bros Gun Manufacturers Shrewsbury".

It is very well made and the leather has a lovely patina with just the right amount of wear to show that it has been used but well cared for. There is an old paper railway label for Cambrian Railways on the back and small stamped initials on the top "G.B.L".

It is in excellent original condition with a lovely aged patina. There are no major damages but of course there are some signs of age and use, some wear and cracking to the leather in places and general surface marks but nothing detrimental and the interior is generally clean and tidy. The two leather straps around the outside have been replaced at some point but they display well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is certainly a very usable piece.
