A good example of a large gilt carved wood standard lamp dating from the early 20th century. It is a good quality heavy piece with a weighted base. It stands on large lions paw feet with an ornate bulbous stem.
It has been PAT tested and rewired to modern standards to take a standard bayonet bulb.
The lamp is in good condition with some minor signs of age and wear, some small chips and splits but nothing detrimental and no major damages. It is strong and sturdy and displays beautifully.
