A fine example of an early 19th Century Tea Caddy. It is made from beautiful partridge wood edged with tulip wood cross banding. It has a small brass carrying handle and comes with its original key.
It has two removable lidded compartments and it comes complete with a glass mixing bowl. The inside of the lid is lined with lovely old green velvet with a tooled edge.
It is in very good condition for its age. The inside is clean and tidy and the exterior has a rich patina. The glass bowl is undamaged with a lovely ring to it. The linings inside the caddy compartments have worn over time and there are some signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
