Superb example of a period oak dresser dating from the late 18th / early 19th century. The base has five drawers arranged as three over two with a shaped apron below the middle drawer. It is set on turned front legs with an open potboard base and fully planked back. The rack has all the original boards and an arrangement of three open shelves.
It is in good condition throughout and is a clean sturdy piece of furniture. It is not without some signs of age and use but this has all helped to develop a beautiful rich patina over the years. There is no major damage and the drawers all run well, having been given new runners. It has been well maintained and has been given a thorough clean and light wax and is ready for the home.
