A good example of a late 19th / early 20th Century technical drawing set contained within its original fitted rosewood box. The box is superb quality with a brass inlaid escutcheon and a fitted velvet lined interior. It comes with its original working key.
The box has two layers and the top tray contains 9 individual steel and brass instruments and accessories fitted inside the case. The top layer lifts out to reveal more storage space below with a few additional items. The lid lining folds down to reveal extra space behind and a small protractor.
The whole set is in good condition for its age. It has obviously been well looked after and all the instruments are in good condition. There is some minor wear and light tarnishing / rust on some of the metal parts but nothing detrimental. The rosewood box is in excellent condition with just some light marks and overall it displays very well.
