A lovely antique globe dating from the early to mid 20th century. It stands on a turned wood pedestal base with a brass axis. The globe has the makers' stamp "Geographia 10 inch Terrestrial Globe. Steamer route distances in sea miles. heights in English Feet. British Possessions Red. Geographical Ltd. 56 Fleet St. London. EC.4"
It is in good condition for its age. The globe has been lightly cleaned to preserve its original aged patina and is ready for display. The turned stand is in good order and the globe spins freely on its axis. There is some minor wear to the surface of the globe - some light scuffs and small areas which have rubbed over the years but nothing detrimental or untoward for a globe of this age. Overall it has a beautiful aged patina and displays well.
