Beautiful example of an antique French Ceiling light, sourced in Northern France. It has a lovely opaline glass shade with a frilled edge and is connected to the traditional rise and fall pulley with its original pulley wheels, ceiling fitting and counterweight.
The light has its original brass gallery but has been re-wired with grey braided cord and fitted with a modern bulb holder to fit a standard bayonet bulb. We recommend it to be checked and fitted by a professional electrician.

It is in good condition for its age and displays very nicely. The shade is undamaged as is the counterweight and pulleys. There is some slight discolouration on the pulleys but nothing detrimental. The ceiling fitting is currently screwed to a wooden block to aid with display in our shop, this is not part of the light.
