A lovely example of an original antique French 'rise and fall' light. It has a frosted glass shade with a frilled edge and is connected to the traditional rise and fall pulley with its original ceramic pulley wheels, ceiling fitting and counterweight.
The light has its original gallery and has been re-wired with white braided cord and fitted with a modern bulb holder to fit a standard bayonet bulb. We recommend it to be checked and fitted by a professional electrician.
It is in good condition for its age and displays very nicely. The shade is undamaged as is the counterweight and pulleys. There is some slight discolouration on the pulleys but nothing detrimental.
