A good quality French display box dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is made from panels of bevelled glass in a gilt frame and it stands on ornate bracket feet. It has a hinged carrying handle and the front door is hinged with a small catch. The back of the casket is lined in a light blue cushioned velvet with a small gilt hook to display a pocket watch or a precious piece of jewellery.
It is in good original condition and displays well. There are signs of age and use, a small chip to one corner of the glass and some general light marks and knocks but no major damages or anything detrimental.
