Product Details

A lovely French Farmhouse table dating from the late 19th century. It has a planked top, believed to be Birch or Sycamore, with breadboard ends and it stands on square tapering oak legs with a small drawer at one end.

It is a good size, comfortably seating 6 people, and the legs have been tipped to give a good leg clearance of 24" (61cm) all around with 23 1/4" (59cm) below the drawer

The table has lots of character and the patination and wear on the top is lovely. There are various natural knots and burrs and old marks and the planks have mellowed to an attractive warm colour. There are minor signs of old worm in the legs which have all been treated as a precaution and haven't affected the table structurally or aesthetically. There are various knocks and marks around the legs and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it is a solid and sturdy table.
