A superb folding cane chair dating from the early to mid 20th century, designed for use on board canoes but also doubles as a fantastic picnic chair. It is portable with a carrying handle at the top and protective leather patches on the base of the corners. There are two canvas straps that keep the back upright when it is opened out and there is a storage compartment below the seat, held shut with two small metal latches.
The whole chair is in excellent original condition. There are minor signs of wear and use and some small losses but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and is ready for display or use.
