An attractive faux bamboo console table dating from the 19th century. It is made of pine with turned tapering simulated bamboo legs and a planked top. It has a simulated bamboo molding running around the bottom edge of the whole table, meaning there is no 'back' or 'front' enabling it to stand as a centre piece or against a wall. It has good proportions, narrow enough for a hallway but with plenty of legroom to double as a desk or dressing table.
It is in good condition and has been gently cleaned and polished. There are normal signs of age and use and a small old repaired split in the molding and some general marks and signs of light wear but nothing detrimental. There are a few minor old worm holes which have been treated as a precaution and overall it displays very nicely.
